Forecast: Cheshire Cat Grins

If there has ever been a happier group of people than local weather forecasters when the first snow finally hit our region of Pennsylvania on January 12th, then I would like to meet them.
Without warning, I wake up blind in my right eye. The next morning I wake up blind in my left eye.
I have regained some sight but remain legally blind. I don't see most colors, I am unable to drive and I have lost my career.
I had written this blog before I got sick. I started it when I was job searching during the financial crisis.
Now I'm searching again. But now it's not only for a job, but for what my new life will look like. Ironic, isn't it?
ON OUR WAY TO MEET HIS NEW BOSS, MY HUSBAND ASKS IF I'M NERVOUS.
I REPLY, "I WOKE UP BLIND ONE MORNING. NERVOUS GOES AWAY AFTER THAT."
