ON OUR WAY TO MEET HIS NEW BOSS, MY HUSBAND ASKS IF I'M NERVOUS.

I REPLY, "I WOKE UP BLIND ONE MORNING. NERVOUS GOES AWAY AFTER THAT."

Would The Queen Choose To Be The Queen If Given A Choice?

Rainy Sunday on the outside but a bevy of activity on the inside. I was in the UK last week for my job and today I am putting my luggage away and catching up on everything else at home, hopefully, including my sleep.

I apologize for the gap in writing; this new job is currently taking over my life and I am so busy I don't know which was is up.

This new job is OK but not what I would choose if I had choices, so this morning I went looking for choices and did a pretty extensive job search.

What I've found is that in the almost 3 months since I started this new job, monster.com has got a new look, hotjobs.com is now monster.com. Things have changed and yet something remains painfully the same.

The job opportunities are slim to none.

What does this mean for me? This means more sucking up, more plowing through, more keeping on keeping on and some gratitude that a) I have a job and b) I have a job in my field. Besides me and the Queen, these days who can say this?
