Today the blow up with a co-worker came as I knew it probably would but I didn't know when.
I felt the snap somewhere inside me and words came out.
I'm not proud of myself but I do feel some relief. There is only so much nastiness and negativity that I can take. And today I stopped taking it.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Tomorrow night I will be home.

Without warning, I wake up blind in my right eye. The next morning I wake up blind in my left eye.
I have regained some sight but remain legally blind. I don't see most colors, I am unable to drive and I have lost my career.
I had written this blog before I got sick. I started it when I was job searching during the financial crisis.
Now I'm searching again. But now it's not only for a job, but for what my new life will look like. Ironic, isn't it?
ON OUR WAY TO MEET HIS NEW BOSS, MY HUSBAND ASKS IF I'M NERVOUS.
I REPLY, "I WOKE UP BLIND ONE MORNING. NERVOUS GOES AWAY AFTER THAT."
