I've been trying to figure out how to write what's been going on with me over the last week and then I saw it. The ice breaker I was looking for. Click HERE to see.
I promise to explain my absence shortly. But for now, it's all about putting one foot in front of the other, from my next breath to my next blog post.

Scenes From A Job Interview Day
Wake up to rain mixed in with wet leaves.
#nasty
Leave house for morning job interview without suit coat.
#havetogobackhome
Stop for coffee on way and have someone's mini creamer shoot the white stuff all over me.
#luckywearingmyrain/creamercoat
Have interview with two people separately who were perfectly nice but both with zero personality.
#firstimpressions
Asked back for another interview with two people on vacation this week.
#anythingtodragouttheprocess
Stopped at Hallmark store on way home to do a little Christmas shopping.
#$7inrewardcertificates
Stopped at grocery store for parsley flakes and put the jar in my pants pocket to protect it from the rain.
#isthatparsleyinyourpocketorareyoujusthappytoseeme?
Didn't wear rain/creamer coat into grocery store and when I came out it was torrential.
#thatumbrellainthecarlooksbored
Return home finally to unpack and clean up from mad rush to get ready this morning.
#didabombgooffinhere?
Scrambling now to get things done.

Sign, Sign, Everywhere A Sign
I am in the interview process for a great opportunity in my field. Although the company is less than 20 miles from my home, I had never heard of the town's name where the office is located until I saw it on the job posting. My husband had a business meeting this morning and he and his colleagues met at their office to drive together to the meeting's location. It wasn't until he got in the car with his group that he realized they were headed to this newly-found (as far as the Sister Rains are concerned) map dot.
Also today, I was running local errands and as I pulled out of a shopping center parking lot I came right up on giant advertising letters on the driver's side of a delivery truck. And the town of this delivery truck's company? You got it.
They say that signs are everywhere but I have to wonder, are they only there because we want to see them so badly? I've heard the expression "that's a bad sign" but I really don't notice the bad signs, only the good ones, and usually when I am hoping for something big to happen.
If I had to choose, I'd rather see the signs for something good than for something bad. And right now, all signs are pointing to good. And that's a good sign.

It's A Beautiful Day
(her new book is about) "the courage you need when the life you lead is not the life you planned, and you learn, there have to be many definitions of a beautiful day." -- Diane Sawyer on Gabby Giffords
